BMW introduced the updated BMW M5 sports sedan, as well as its advanced version called Competition.
The restyled car got a new LED optics, which can be replaced with matrix optics at an additional cost, slightly larger “nostrils” of the front grille, modified bumpers, and splashboards, which are now made of carbon fiber in order to lighten the construction. The Competition version can be distinguished by the spoiler on the trunk lid and the black interior, experts say.
The technical equipment of the vehicles has not changed. The updated BMW M5 is equipped with the same 4.4-liter V8 engine with two turbines, which has a standard capacity of 600 horsepower. In the Competition version, the motor power is increased to 625 horsepower. The unit works together with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive M xDrive. In its most advanced performance, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in only 3.3 seconds. The maximum speed of the BMW M5 is limited to 250 kilometers per hour.
In its standard specification, BMW M5 comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, while the Competition is equipped with forged two-tone 20-inch wheels. The basic equipment includes also an integral brake system with perforated six-piston fixed calipers at the front and single-piston calipers with a floating bracket at the rear. In both versions, a multimedia system screen and a digital dashboard are enlarged from the previous 10.25 inches to 12.3 inches.

Those who own a BMW love ...

Shhh! Do you hear that? That deep, thunder-like growl rolling across the Namib desert? Can you see where it’s coming from? No? Is it coming at you from all sides? Yes? Well, chances are that you are likely in the belly of the beast. Or, rather, stuck behind the wheel of (or at the very least a ...
